FAQ’s

  • Chris and I visited the islands after our engagement, and St. Thomas quickly became our dream wedding backdrop, with its stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters, and sweeping island views. The warm, sunny weather and laid-back Caribbean energy made it feel like the perfect place for us to say “I do” and celebrate with our favorite people. And since it’s a U.S. territory, we loved that it offered the beauty of a tropical escape without the need for passports or annoying customs lines!

  • If you're a U.S. citizen, you won’t need a passport or visa to travel to the U.S. Virgin Islands (including St. Thomas), as it’s considered domestic travel, just like flying to another state. A government-issued photo ID (like a driver’s license) is all you’ll need for airport security.

However, if you plan to island hop to the nearby British Virgin Islands (BVI), be sure to bring your passport, as it will be required for entry.

  • To ensure you get the best options for flights and accommodations, we recommend booking your airfare and hotel as soon as possible. February is a popular time to visit St. Thomas, so securing your travel plans early will give you the best chance at the best rates and availability.

  • While we would love to include everyone's kiddos, we’ve made the decision to invite only a few special children who are in the wedding party.

Should you still decide to make your trip to St. Thomas a family vacation, a lot of the local hotels do offer babysitting services, and we will be happy to pass along the names of sitters to watch your little ones at your accommodations while you attend the weekend’s events.

  • To keep our celebration intimate, we kindly ask that you please only bring a guest if your invitation specifically includes one.

  • Unusual right? We chose the Sunday of President’s Day Weekend for our destination wedding to give everyone a long weekend to travel and celebrate with us. With many guests having the Monday off, it offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy a relaxed, extended stay in beautiful St. Thomas, making it easier for everyone to join in the festivities without taking too much time off work. Plus, it’s a great excuse for a mini vacation!

  • In February, St. Thomas enjoys warm, sunny days with temperatures typically ranging from the low 70s to mid-80s. Rainfall is minimal, with brief showers that usually pass quickly, making it part of the island’s dry season. Gentle trade winds and warm ocean waters create ideal conditions for beach time, snorkeling, and outdoor adventures.

  • Katharine is describing the attire as “beachy cocktail,” but we encourage you to embrace the island vibe in your outfit. We want you to look your best while feeling relaxed and comfortable enough to dance the night away.

  • Parking is available at the venue, and if you decide to leave your car overnight after enjoying a few drinks, you're welcome to do so. Taxis are also a convenient and safe way to get to and from the celebration.

  • Yes, staying on St. John is absolutely an option. Just be sure to keep an eye on the ferry schedule or arrange a boat charter with plenty of time to get to the venue without any stress.
